Colacem is among the leaders in the production, distribution, and marketing of cement, the third-largest company in the Italian market and the first in exports thanks to the strategic position of some of its plants.
Highly active in the field of sustainable development, for years the company has implemented a precise policy of social and economic responsibility and environmental respect with extreme care and attention.
Requirement: to reduce the environmental impact quickly thanks to a system that allows for the ecological disposal of sewage sludge solid waste.
Thanks to 31 kilometers of cable, Colacem achieved savings of 8 million euros in coal.
Our solution
We designed and implemented two transformers that power the factory, one 16-megawatt and one 21-megawatt with 1x400mm medium-voltage cables, and connected the new system to ecologically dispose of sewage sludge solid waste.
Now the waste burns in the kiln along with the coal, turning into inert, non-polluting fumes.
Specialized expertise in the relevant sector allowed us to manage the entire project in just 2 months
