The systems were originally installed by us and commissioned in 2012, with 16 floodlights equipped with 2000W metal halide lamps.
What does relamping mean?
It refers to the replacement of old-generation lighting fixtures, such as discharge or fluorescent lamps, with modern LED (Light Emitting Diode) lamps, thereby reducing energy consumption and costs while contributing to greater environmental sustainability.
This type of operation does not require invasive interventions on the existing electrical system, making it simpler and faster with significant energy-saving potential.
Following the feasibility and lighting design study commissioned to the floodlight manufacturer, TEC-MAR s.r.l., the lighting calculation was performed. This calculation is essential as it provides both plan and three-dimensional results of the lighting outcome to be achieved; in our case, an average illumination coefficient of 260 LUX was defined with the client.
Implementation Program
After appropriate electrical evaluations, the type of floodlights and intervention methods were defined.
The operation involved replacing the 16 old 2000W floodlights with new 1350W, 5000K LED floodlights, ensuring greater efficiency and energy savings.
Safety and Operating Procedures
The intervention was planned under maximum safety conditions, considering both work at height (27 meters) and the need to protect the artificial turf from the passage of the mobile crane.
Installation was carried out in collaboration with Autotrasporti Antoniazza Gianmario and Autovictor Srl, from which the following were rented:
• a 34-meter spider platform with operator
• a 37-meter wheeled platform with operator
These machines enabled precise and safe management of the delicate phases of pole dismantling and reassembly.
Work Team
Four specialized technicians participated in the intervention:
• Two technicians on the mobile crane, engaged in mechanical dismounting of the floodlights.
• One technician on the lighting tower platform, responsible for disconnecting and reconnecting the new fixtures.
• One ground technician, responsible for preparing the new floodlights and dismantling the old ones for separate disposal.
During the operation, the team ensured proper positioning and calibration of the floodlights, as well as inclination according to the lighting design.

Environmental Sustainability
Relamping also contributes to reducing CO₂ emissions, with lower heat emission compared to traditional lamps. LED lamps do not contain polluting chemical substances and pose no danger to the environment, confirming our commitment to more eco-sustainable lighting.
