Our Project: Relamping of the Centro San Francesco Soccer Field

In 2012, we completed the lighting system for the 11-a-side soccer field at Centro San Francesco in Verbania, a sports complex also equipped with a hotel, meeting rooms, and multipurpose spaces. The original system included 16 floodlights with 2000W metal halide lamps each.

In 2025, we carried out an LED relamping operation, aimed at improving lighting efficiency, reducing consumption, and making the system more sustainable.

Feasibility Study and Lighting Calculation

Before proceeding, we conducted a detailed lighting study in collaboration with the manufacturer TEC-MAR S.r.l., a company specializing in the design of high-performance LED floodlights.
The lighting calculation, essential for ensuring optimal results, allowed us to define an average illumination coefficient of 260 lux, ideal for professional sports fields.

Installation and Safety at Height

The work involved the replacement of the 16 2000W floodlights with new 1350W – 5000K LED floodlights, capable of offering greater efficiency and light uniformity.
The installation was carried out at a height of 27 meters, in full compliance with safety regulations, thanks to collaboration with Autotrasporti Antoniazza Gianmario and Autovictor Srl, who supported us with aerial platforms and specialized operators.

Our team, consisting of four technicians, managed every phase of the project:

  • Removal of old floodlights and their disposal in compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Connection and calibration of the new LED lighting fixtures.
  • Optimal alignment and inclination of the floodlights according to the lighting design.
