Comimpianti Illuminates the Future of the Castelli di Cannero

Technology and Respect for a Timeless Heritage

Verbania, June 2025 – The Castelli di Cannero will officially reopen to the public on June 28, 2025, following an inauguration ceremony reserved for institutions and authorities held on June 12, 2025.

The project, promoted by Terre Borromeo, was not limited to restoring these castles set in Lake Maggiore to their former glory: it integrated modern systems for accessibility, safety, and cultural enhancement.

Comimpianti participated in this prestigious project by implementing the electrical, technological, and safety systems for the entire complex with advanced materials and technologies, aimed at ensuring maximum reliability and protection of the lake ecosystem.

Key features:

laying of the underwater cable of 486 meters connecting the island to the mainland;

architectural lighting to enhance the architecture without invasiveness;

video surveillance and security for safe and peaceful enjoyment;

intelligent energy management systems for sustainability and efficiency.

The Castelli di Cannero are now part of a broader network of cultural enhancement of Lake Maggiore – alongside the Rocca d’Angera, the Borromean Islands, and Villa Pallavicino – offering visitors an immersive experience combining history, technology, and nature.

Comimpianti confirms its leadership when cultural heritage enhancement is required, transforming engineering challenges into opportunities for beauty.

We are grateful to the Borromeo Family for allowing us to contribute to this prestigious and highly ambitious project, in which we believed from the beginning, executed with great determination and professionalism.
