The renovation of the West wing lasted three years.
Each department was completed in nine phases to ensure the continuous functionality of the hospital.
The project included the new transformer substation consisting of Siemens medium voltage cubicles, two Siemens 15000/400 V 800 kW transformers, and an 800 kW automatic generator set that kicks in within seconds to make the hospital autonomous in the event of a blackout, as the facility is located at a high-risk altitude.

Our solution
The facility features two 100kW UPS units to provide continuous power to the entire IT system and the laboratory (with instrumentation and samples maintained at -80°C).
The entire structure is protected against fire hazards with a Notifier fire detection system consisting of an AM 20000 analog control panel, fire-resistant cables, and smoke and temperature detectors for continuous environmental monitoring.
The system also includes supervision with graphic maps.
The entire heating system is controlled with Coster and Johnson Controls equipment.
A Faraday cage was installed on the roof of the building using Obo Carpaneto equipment in accordance with the 81-1 regulation for protection against atmospheric discharges.
Sostel and Schrack equipment was installed for the nurse call system.
